This is not a fundraiser, but Jane has achieved so much in improving the lives of thousands of young people worldwide through her Roots and Shoots program – not to mention her famous work with her chimpanzees, so please consider making a donation to JGI (Jane Goodall Institute).
I first met Jane in the early seventies, when, as a young bush pilot, I flew medicine for her ailing chimpanzee down to Gombe in Tanzania from Nairobi. I have always been astonished by her commitment and work ethic.
When I reached out to her this week, she was just leaving on a promotion trip to Japan before coming back to the USA. At the age of 83, she shows tireless energy and endless dedication to her causes.
This old photo of us was in Kenya in the 1992. Didn’t we all look a bit younger then?!
I hope you can make it next weekend.
